A Path to Financial Health by Reducing Surgical Variability

An initiative by the Ottawa Hospital to improve the quality of patient care led to the redesign of surgical operations. This new approach got surgery patients in and out of the hospital faster, improving the quality of care indicators while also increasing the financial health of the hospital. In this presentation, Paula Doering will discuss the challenges that the hospital faced, the methodologies and processes used, and the impact of those changes on the hospital.
