Former CEO of electronic health records company brings wealth of industry experience

SALT LAKE CITY – May 31, 2017 – Central Logic, a leading provider of transfer center and on-call scheduling solutions, today, announced that board of directors’ member Angie Franks is elevated to Board Chair.  Central Logic recently launched Central Logic Patient Connect, the first web-based technology to operationalize care coordination.

Central Logic’s Board of Directors, for the first time in the company’s history, elects an independent Director to Chair the Board. Central Logic continues to expand their innovative healthcare software solutions to provide real-time visibility throughout a patient’s care continuum journey.

The company recently released a suite of enterprise solutions that connects, captures, and reports on critical patient care issues.  The comprehensive suite of solutions, including Central Logic Patient Connect, captures, in real-time, the patient’s information from inside and outside the four walls of the hospital.

“Angie’s years of experience leading healthcare technology companies, including those focused on electronic health records (EHR), aligns perfectly with my vision as I lead the company into the future,” said President and CEO Jennifer Holmes.  “Our suite of solutions integrates with any EHR system and having experience on the board will not only help us drive strategy but she will help me explore potential strategic partnerships.”

Franks’ more than 25 years of high-growth, technology leadership experience includes serving as Chief Marketing Officer for SportsEngine where she led the marketing, strategy and product teams prior to its acquisition by NBC Sports.  She also was President, CEO, and a board member of Healthland, a company that provided electronic medical records and financial management solutions to rural hospitals and health systems.

Preceding her role as president of Healthland, Franks worked in sales and senior executive roles for The Advisory Board Company, Lawson Software and other public and private software companies.

“I believe the collective vision and forward thinking of Central Logic’s board can help drive even greater results and solutions for our customers.  Central Logic is a growth company and has made significant momentum in both technology development and sales over the past two years,” said Franks.  “I’m excited to lead the board in exploring ways to assist in driving against the company’s objectives.”

Franks has served as an independent member on the Central Logic Board since 2014. She also served as a board member for Jump Technologies, a software company focused on improving hospital supply management.  A graduate of St. Catherine University in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Franks is a resident of Roseville, Minnesota.
