SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — February 8, 2011 — Central Logic, the healthcare industry’s leading provider of innovative patient flow software and consultative expertise, today announced it is joining forces with Hewlett-Packard (HP®) to demonstrate Central Logic Core™, its innovative and intelligent Web-based software application for bed management, at the 2011 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference & Exhibition, Feb. 20-24, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
The event, better known as HIMSS11, is generally regarded as the world’s largest showcase of healthcare technologies, including medical devices and equipment, software and hardware offerings, and countless other innovations and cutting-edge developments which enable physicians, hospitals, and healthcare systems to provider higher-quality patient care and treatment.
Making its debut appearance at the exhibition, Central Logic will be featured in HP’s main booth, located in space No. 731 on the show floor. The Salt Lake City-based company will present and demonstrate Central Logic Core™, its aggressive entrée into the bed management segment of the healthcare sector, utilizing HP’s award-winning, critically-acclaimed family of TouchSmart™ hardware and display technologies, all specifically designed to be operated by touch. The TouchSmart line includes a new generation of all-in-one personal computers (PCs) and interactive displays that change the way healthcare workers interact with their computing workstations and devices. Central Logic will demonstrate using a HP 42-inch LCD interactive display, HP TouchSmart 9100 Business PC, and a HP Slate 500 Tablet PC to show how its software products may be viewed, accessed, and used via touchscreens in real-world medical environments.
Core may be used by healthcare facilities of all sizes, from small hospitals to the largest and most sophisticated systems. The new application, scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2011, can be fully integrated with the company’s entire suite of patient flow solutions, including Central Logic ForeFront™ and Central Logic Insight™. The development and introduction of Central Logic Core is the company’s direct response to the requests of healthcare professionals around the country for an intuitive and intelligent bed management software application that meets the needs of all hospitals and healthcare systems.
