Job Description

Central Logic, a leading provider of innovative Transfer Center, On-Call Scheduling and Command Center solutions to 400+ hospitals, is seeking a technical writer to join our team.

This position will be responsible for writing technical documentation for the Central Logic software solutions as well as solution set. The writer will be focused on administrator, developer, and end user caliber documentation. Additionally, the writer will participate in daily meetings working directly with developers, QA specialists, consultants, and product managers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the full content creation cycle for assigned projects, including research, ideation, production, editing, coordination with design, publishing, distribution, and analysis.
  • Ensure a superior and continuously improving level of product and documentation quality
  • Collaborate with application developers, QA specialists, support team, and consultants to ensure that customer facing documentation is useful and aimed to drive greater understanding of product functionality
  • Develop and continually improve reference manuals, user guides, online content, release notes, and more
  • Create and maintain style guidelines including creation of document templates
  • Maintain documentation using version controls
  • Prepare all documentation for release
  • Continually recommend documentation process improvements and best practices

Desired Experience & Skills


  • 2-5 years of technical writing experience focused on enterprise software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Understand and possess the essential skills and techniques for effective technical writing
  • Experience coordinating documentation requirements with various internal constituents including product managers, developers, and support personnel
  • Experience creating end user documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, often under deadlines, and work independently
  • Skill translating technical and functional information for appropriate audiences
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience writing for clinical audiences is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or another relevant field or equivalent experience
