The Central Logic management team
Darin M. Vercillo, MD
CEO
Darin is a co-founder of Central Logic. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah and went on to a fellowship in medical informatics in conjunction with the National Institutes of Health.
Prior to founding Central Logic, he was a clinical advisor and technical developer at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. He also served as a physician knowledge engineer and interim chief medical officer at TheraDoc in Salt Lake City.
Darin has developed and implemented numerous medical information systems to manage complex patient needs, medical education, and faculty and staff logistics. He is an active consultant on a variety of additional systems across the United States, ranging from small physician practices to very large teaching hospitals.
Darin is also a practicing, board-certified hospitalist in the Salt Lake City area.
Ryan Larsen
VP, Operations
Ryan received a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Westminster College in Salt Lake City with an MBA (MIS emphasis).
Prior to founding Central Logic, Ryan was Chief Operations Officer at Persona, where he was responsible for overseeing business operations, partnerships, technology infrastructure, and customer service efforts. During his time at Persona, Ryan also built and maintained the company’s productions systems for its online communities.
Since co-founding Central Logic in 2005, Ryan has supervised the Company’s core technology, finances, and legal department.
Scott Jordan
VP, Professional Services
Scott is a co-founder of Central Logic. His experience managing patient flow issues allows him to help facilities across the country implement best practices. Scott received his undergraduate degree from Weber State University and earned an MBA from California Coast University.
Spending several years in the field of academic medicine at the University of Utah gave Scott a broad knowledge of hospital administration. Scott’s experiences at the University of Utah included directing customer service efforts in both communication centers and information technology.
Scott has also worked for Amazon.com. As Senior Global Training and Development Manager, he was responsible for creating and implementing a training presence in the company call centers worldwide. He now applies his 16+ years of experience in call centers, client and leadership training, and customer support to making Central Logic a leader in patient flow.
Mike Samuelian
VP, Strategic Alliances
Mike Samuelian brings more than 25 years of sales management experience in the software industry to Central Logic.
Most recently, Mike was the Vice President of Sales and Strategic Alliances at Symantec. His responsibilities included overseeing the successful sales integration of Symantec’s billion-dollar acquisition of Altiris.
Prior to the acquisition, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Altiris. In this role, Mike grew annual sales from $3M to more than $250M in 7 years and managed a sales team of more than 200 employees across 25 countries.
Mike also has held executive positions at Legato, Vinca Corporation, Jostens Learning Corporation, and Wicat Systems. He studied Business Administration at Brigham Young University.
Shane Eliason
VP, Sales
Shane has over 25 years of experience in sales, sales management, and executive leadership positions for companies like IBM, Simon and Schuster, Peregrine, and Symantec (Altiris) as well as a number of startup companies.
Prior to joining our team, Shane was the President of the US Operations for Matrix42.
Shane has successfully sold to large enterprise accounts such as Boeing, United Airlines, SunTrust, Honeywell, Wells Fargo, and Intel. He has wide expertise in creating and implementing programs to increase revenues for complex software applications.
He has a BS in Finance with an emphasis on technology from Brigham Young University.
Jeff Porcaro
VP, Engineering and Technical Services
As vice president of engineering and technical services, Jeff is responsible for comprehensive product development strategy. He oversees all software engineering, solutions architecture, and feature set design and integration activities for Central Logic’s patient flow solutions.
Prior to joining Central Logic, Jeff was vice president of engineering at Symantec, a position he also held at Altiris. While at Altiris, Jeff was the engineering liaison for the company’s strategic alliances with HP, Dell, Intel, IBM, and Fujitsu-Siemens, and was the executive sponsor for the company’s relationship with Microsoft.
Jeff’s expertise in improving the quality and delivery of enterprise software solutions is now put to work for Central Logic.
Garrett Lyman
VP, Marketing
Garrett has more than 20 years experience managing marketing programs in the technology and healthcare industries. Garrett holds a Communications degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Marriott School of Management, also at Brigham Young University.
Prior to joining Central Logic, Garrett was the managing partner at Chrome Media. He previously worked as VP and Strategy Director at McCann Erickson, part of McCann Worldgroup, and has held strategic global marketing positions at Intel Corporation, LANDesk Software, and Merit Medical Systems.
Garrett has directed the development of marketing programs for other recognized companies such as Microsoft, Lenovo, McAfee, and Fujitsu-Siemens. He has worked extensively with worldwide IT channels, including distributors, systems integrators, and VARs.
Chad Latimer
VP, Customer Service
Over Chad’s 24+ years in the software industry, he has held a variety of leadership positions in services, sales, international development, and operations. Most recently he served as CEO and President of AxisPointe, Vice President of Global Services at Altiris and Vice President of Global Support at Matrix42.
Chad has extensive experience in building knowledge-based services organizations that help customers receive the full value of their software investment. He also has extensive experience developing sales teams, establishing international offices, supporting partner channels, designing operational processes, and implementing internal technologies.
Chad is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
